Jul
15
I wasted more dice than I should have on July 15 by chasing tournament points outside the useful boost windows. The better approach is to treat the day as a resource rotation, not a nonstop rolling session. Spend cash during Builder's Bash, use Rent Frenzy for a short cash push, and keep enough dice for the events that actually move your board forward. I also checked my Monopoly Go Stickers progress before spending event currency, since completing the wrong Blocks Boutique order can leave you short later.
Build Around the Boost Windows
The first Builder's Bash window should be reserved for landmark upgrades you were already close to purchasing. Do not burn all your cash on small upgrades beforehand. A discounted landmark is more useful when you can chain several purchases together, especially if that also clears Quick Wins or advances board progress.
Rent Frenzy is where I would shift from building to cash farming. The window is short, so prepare before it starts: finish your current movement, collect available rent targets, and avoid opening the game with no dice or cash plan. I prefer smaller controlled rolls here rather than immediately spending the highest multiplier. The goal is consistent rent collection, not one lucky hit.
1. Keep a cash reserve until Builder's Bash begins.
2. Use Rent Frenzy for cash, not tournament score chasing.
3. Stop rolling when the next reward costs more than it returns.
Where the Dice Actually Matter
The Springfield Monorail tournament can tempt players into spending everything early. That usually creates a bad trade when the leaderboard becomes more competitive later. A mid-to-high placement is often a healthier target than forcing the top spot with no dice left for the next event. Check the scoring spaces available to you, then decide whether your current route justifies another roll.
Roll Match is only ten minutes, so it rewards preparation more than endurance. Save a few dice and enter with a clear multiplier plan. If the board position is poor, do not chase a theoretical payoff just because the boost is active. I have had better results waiting for a favorable space than forcing rolls during every short flash event.
Event currency from Okily Dokily Garden and the tournament should go toward Blocks Boutique orders with realistic completion paths. Prioritize orders that overlap with Quick Wins, sticker collection, or rewards you were already planning to claim. An order that requires a fresh spending spree is rarely efficient just because its reward looks larger.
Small Mistakes That Slow Progress
One common mistake is treating every active event as equally valuable. They are not. Builder's Bash improves the value of cash, Rent Frenzy improves the value of landing on rent spaces, and Roll Match depends heavily on board position. The same dice budget should not be used identically in all three windows.
Another mistake is emptying resources before checking the next objective. Claim Quick Wins when they naturally fit your route, but do not make expensive detours for a minor task. Sticker progress also deserves patience; buying packs or trading impulsively can create duplicates without helping the set you are closest to finishing.
My July 15 plan is simple: build during the discount, farm cash during Rent Frenzy, test the tournament leaderboard before committing, and leave a reserve for the next cycle. Players who still need a specific album piece should compare the cost of waiting against buying cheap Monopoly Go Stickers rather than spending dice blindly. A controlled session usually beats a longer one.
